These terms and conditions govern all prize competitions operated by Link'dUp™ ("the Promoter"). The Promoter's registered address is:
All competitions operated by Link'dUp™ are skill-based prize competitions, not lotteries or games of chance. Entry requires correctly answering a skill-based question. A free postal entry route is available for every competition. This structure is designed to comply with the Gambling Act 2005 (UK) and does not require a gambling licence.
By entering a competition, entrants confirm they have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
To be eligible to enter and win, entrants must:
The Promoter reserves the right to verify eligibility at any stage and to disqualify any entrant who does not meet the eligibility criteria.
Online (paid entry): Entries may be submitted via the Link'dUp™ website at officiallinkdup.com. Each online entry costs £2.50 (inclusive of any applicable taxes). Entrants must correctly answer the skill-based question and provide their full name, email address, and date of birth. Payment is processed securely by PayPal. Entry is not complete until payment has been successfully processed.
Free postal entry: No purchase is necessary to enter. To enter for free, hand-write your full name, date of birth, email address, and the correct answer to the skill-based question on a plain piece of paper and post it to:
One postal entry per envelope. Postal entries must be received before the competition closing date. Entries received after the closing date will not be included. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for entries lost, delayed, or damaged in the post. Postal entrants have the same odds of winning as paid online entrants.
The maximum number of entries per person per competition shall be stated on the relevant competition page. Each paid online entry costs £2.50. The total maximum number of entries per competition shall be stated on the relevant competition page. The Promoter reserves the right to close entries at any time once the maximum number of entries has been reached.
All entries — whether paid online or free postal — must include a correct answer to the skill-based question specified for that competition. Entries submitted with an incorrect answer will be void and will not be entered into the draw. The skill question is designed to require genuine skill, knowledge, or judgement and is not a matter of pure chance. This is a legal requirement that distinguishes this competition from a lottery under the Gambling Act 2005.
The closing date for each competition shall be stated on the relevant competition page on the Link'dUp™ website. Entries received after the closing date will not be counted. The Promoter reserves the right to extend or close the competition early at its discretion, with notice provided on the website and/or social media channels.
The winner will be selected by random number generator from all valid, eligible entries that correctly answered the skill-based question. The draw will take place within seven (7) days of the competition closing date. The draw will be conducted by the Promoter or an independent third party appointed by the Promoter. The result is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
The Promoter intends to conduct the draw live on its social media channels (@OfficialLinkdUp on Instagram) to ensure full transparency. Specific draw arrangements will be communicated via social media prior to the closing date.
The winner will be notified within seven (7) days of the draw via the email address provided at entry. If the winner cannot be contacted within 14 days of notification, or is unable or unwilling to comply with these terms and conditions, the Promoter reserves the right to select an alternative winner from the remaining eligible entries.
The prize for each competition shall be described on the relevant competition page. Prize details for current and forthcoming competitions:
